This 90-minute training will provide resources to facilitate communication between families and school staff to ensure your student can feel affirmed and safe in their classroom! We will provide best practices at school related to:
❖ names/pronouns
❖ dress codes
❖ facilities access
❖ social transitions/gender support plans
❖ privacy/confidentiality
❖ responding to controversy in the school community.

Every participant will leave with shareable lesson plan examples, educator response scripts to challenging questions, and pronoun practice prompts. An overview of the industry leading Welcoming Schools professional development options will be shared as proactive interventions to create LGBTQ-affirming spaces at your child’s school!
